Norma Jeanne Tracy, 88, Altus, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Magnolia Creek Skilled Nursing in Altus. Services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022 in the family gathering room at Kincannon Funeral Home with Erin Martinez officiating. Burial will follow services at the Victory Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Norma Jeanne was born March 4, 1934 in Mangum, Oklahoma to Lewis and Ruth Maxine (Walker) Roberts. She graduated from Mangum High School with the Class of 1952 and married Robert Tracy on June 5, 1957 in Enid, Oklahoma. Norma Jeanne continued her education, attaining a Registered Nursing certification and began a lifelong career helping others. She retired from nursing at the Altus Air Force Base Hospital in 1997. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Altus where she was active in ladies groups and their special Sunday School class. Norma Jeanne enjoyed traveling with her friends and had visited New Zealand, Australia and Ireland to mention a few. She also learned to play piano at an early age and eagerly awaited bingo at Tamarack.
Norma Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Ruth Roberts; and her husband, Robert Tracy. She is survived by one niece and two nephews; a host of good friends and three “special friends”, Beverly Patriquin and Linda and Eulis Mobley.
