Olivia “Lillie” Vega Flores, 84, Altus, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at her home. A rosary will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Kincannon Funeral Home and a graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2022 at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Lillie was born April 11, 1938 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Ysidro and Casimira (Gueterriez) Vega. She attended school in Wisconsin and then the family moved to Altus, Oklahoma. Lillie and Esteban H. Flores were married on December 1, 1952 and to this union nine children were born. She had worked at Underwoods on North Main in Altus; Rivers School at Altus Air Force Base as a cook; and as a home health provider for several years in Altus. Lillie was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church and enjoyed watching westerns, crocheting, knitting, painting, gardening, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Lillie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Richard and Ernest Flores; one sister, Alice Albin; and three brothers, Julian, Bill and Rueben Vega.
She is survived by three daughters, Susan Flores, Debra Vega and Monica Flores; four sons, David Flores and wife, Sandy; Steven Adam Flores, Jr and wife, April; Edward Wayne Flores and wife, Michelle; and Fernando Flores; three sisters, Julanda Simms and husband, Joe; Margeret Rickman; and Carmen Monroy; one brother, Danny Vega; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren and many friends.
