, Altus, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Plantation Village Nursing Home. Funeral services have been scheduled for10:00 AM Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Max Gunn officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Oscar Odell Foreman was born on February 8, 1932 to Barney and Laura Belle (Ketchersid) Ashley in Olustee, Oklahoma. He served his country in the United States Army for eight years and was a veteran of the Korean War. Oscar and Naomi Lorraine Chappell were united in marriage on June 6, 1959 in Vernon, Texas. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Altus. He was an ordained Deacon and was instrumental in building the new sanctuary at the church. Oscar was a machinist/mechanic and operated the Altus Automotive Machine Shop on South Main and then on East Broadway for twenty years. Oscar loved his church and enjoyed fishing and building race car engines. Oscar is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Naomi; one son, James Alton Bradford; a daughter, Sherry Kay Brand; and a brother, Richard Foreman. He is survived by his son, Larry Bradford and wife, Marlene, of Greensboro, North Carolina; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Odis Foreman of Olustee, OK and Tom Foreman and wife, TJ, of Port Orchard, WA; two sisters, Arzella Rhodes and husband, Jerry, of Jackson, TN, Gay Feazel and husband, Larry, of Altus, OK and his best friend and fishing Buddy, Jimmie Anderson of Altus, OK. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The Foreman family will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Friday, December 26 at the Kincannon Gathering Room.
