Pamela Jo Grant, 54, Altus, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at her home. Memorial services are planned for 7:00 PM Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Martha Road Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Baker and Rev. Jim Brown officiating. Services are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home And Cremation Service. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Stoutsville, Ohio.
Pamel Jo Grant was born on March 25, 1964 in Lancaster, Ohio to Richard L.and Helen L. (McCormick) Sohrenssen. She graduated from Lancaster High School and graduated from the Wilmington College of Ohio with a Bachelor's Degree. While in college she studied in Mexico, Costa Rica and Nicaraugua. She also served in the Peace Corps and Habitat for Humanity. Pam worked for the Department of Human Services for several years and was currently working in Adult Protective Services. She was a member of the Martha Road Baptist Church and attended the Friendship Baptist Church. Pam was also very active in the Christian Motorcyclists Association and the Vernon Travelers Square Dance Club. She enjoyed horseback riding, motorcycle riding and dancing.
Her paternal grandparents, Layman and Mary Sohrenssen, and maternal grandparents, Clem and Florence McCormick, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her parents, Richard and Helen Sohrenssen; a brother, Michael L. Sohrenssen and wife, Amy; a sister, Kristi L. Bechdel and husband, Dan; two nephews, Drew and Luke; and a niece, Chelsae.
