Patricia Eleanor Bloom

Patricia Eleanor Bloom, 88, Altus, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at her home. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Kincannon Funeral Home Gathering Room with Rev. David Player officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. Cremation services are under the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Patricia Eleanor Swengel was born on April 28, 1924 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to V. Clark and Edythe A. (Cupp) Swengel. She grew up in Harrisburg and graduated high school from there. Patricia married Kenneth R. Bloom on June 3, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She traveled as a military wife with her husband to various military assignments. She was a very devoted and supportive wife. Patricia enjoyed fishing, making jewelry, and hunting for arrowheads with her husband. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Her parents preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of the home; a son, Steve Bloom of Portland, Oregon; and a brother, John Swengel of Florida.
