Paul Eugene Naeve, 80, passed away on March 15, 2024, peacefully with family by his side in Altus, Oklahoma. He was born on December 18, 1943, in St. Edward, Nebraska to Harold (Pete) and Marie (Dybdall) Naeve. He was born and raised as a Nebraskan boy spending his youth on a farm. He graduated from Albion High School in 1962 and joined the United States Air Force soon after. A visitation is scheduled for 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the Kincannon Funeral Home. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the Altus Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Steve Lehew officiating. A burial will follow at the Navajoe Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by the United States Air Force. Arrangements are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Paul was always stationed state side except for one tour in Okinawa, Japan. Mainly stationed at Lowery Air Force Base in Denver, Colorado and Vandenburg Air Force Base in California. He first worked on the missile war heads then later in his career he was an instructor in Electronic Instrumentation. After his retirement from the Air Force in 1982, he began his second career when the Lord called him to preach the gospel. He attended Rockmount College in Wheat Ridge, Colorado and graduated in May 1984 with his Bachelor of Arts. He later attended Nazarene College in Colorado Springs, Colorado graduating with a Ministry Degree. He was ordained as an elder in the Nazarene Church in 1988. He served 10 years in Eldorado, Oklahoma. After his years spent in Eldorado he was called to serve in Bowie, Texas for 20 years in the church. He retired from ministry work in 2013 when his health began to decline.
Paul married Mary Packard in March of 1965, and they shared 59 years of marriage together. Paul gained his wings on his and Mary’s 59th Wedding Anniversary. They shared many memories and great adventures throughout the years.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and grandson, Jake Lewis. He left behind his wife, Mary; daughters, Glynda Reed and husband, Mark and Manette Lewis and husband, Kevin; sister, Jan Kollar and husband, Jim; grandchildren, Anna Ochoa and husband, Manny, Sarah Lewis, Nathaniel Reed, and Daniel Reed; and great-grandchildren, Clayton, Madeline, and Michaela.
