Paulette Ann Richhart, 63, Altus, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 15, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jane Vaughan officiating. A private family inurnment will be at the Victory Cemetery, west of Altus. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Paulette was born on February 7, 1958 in Altus, Oklahoma to Jessie and Rosie (Tinney) Duke. She grew up in Altus and married Leroy E. Welch, Sr. Paulette worked as a Certified Nurse Aide most of her adult life, serving others for 21 years at the English Village Manor. She married James Richhart on March 7, 1997 at the Altus Church of the Nazarene. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Paulette enjoyed quilting and sewing and was quite a seamstress. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Paulette was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Leroy; son, Jessie Jones; grandson, Jaleel Foye; two sisters, Alice Hopp and Ruthie Caswell; and three brothers, Delbert, Donald and Benny Duke.
She is survived by her husband, James; daughters, Molissie Welch, Marguerite Richhart and husband, Shaun, and Susie Richhart; sons, Leroy Welch and wife, Carolyn, and Kadix Richhart; grandchildren, Richard Nichols, Hassan Foye, Kaalon Welch, Kaason Welch, Ivory Lewis, Deiondre Welch, Mya Edwards, Gavin Gonzalez, McKenzie Richie, Jayden Richhart, AJ Delozier and Deronna Colbert; two great grandchildren, Gavin, Jr. and Azyler; three sisters, Shirley Welch, Darlene Pettijon and husband, Tom, and Betty Wilson; and many other family members and friends.
