Pete Allred, 74, Altus, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in Lawton, OK. Graveside services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 3, 2014 in the Altus City Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to the Kincannon Funeral Home. Pete Allred was born August 10, 1939 to Marvin and Edith Ned (Thomas) Allred in Altus, Oklahoma. He graduated from Friendship High School with the class of 1957. Pete and Carol Arney were united in marriage on December 31, 1957 in Altus, OK. To this union one daughter was born. He was a truck driver for Republic Gypsum and Jouett Scott for over forty years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Pete was a member of the Church of Christ. His happiest times were spent with his kids and grandchildren. Pete is preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his wife, Carol, of the home; one daughter, Ruby Jean Brumbalow and husband, Jimmy, of Altus, OK; two grandchildren, Crystal Farmer of Frederick, OK, and Shannon Kellison of Oklahoma City, OK; two great-grandchildren, Christina Saldana and husband, Kalaeb, of Altus, OK, and Whitney Farmer of Altus, OK; two great-great grandchildren, twin boys, Mason and Michael Saldana of Altus, OK; a sister, Arrawanna Donica of Centerville, GA; and a brother, David Layton Allred and wife, Rosalind, of Anchorage, AK. Memorial contributions may be made in Pete's name to the American Heart Association.
