Placida Lopez

Placida Lopez, 88, passed away at her home in Altus on Wednesday, April 17, 2019. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, April 22, 2019 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Elder Ralph Rivera officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Placida Lopez was born on June 10, 1930 to Juan and Porfiria (Jaimes) Lopez in El Paso del Guayabal, Mexico. She was a homemaker and a member of the Altus Spanish Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening.

Placida is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Juanita Lopez, Vicenta Lopez, Maria Lopez, Froylan Lopez and Valentin Lopez. She is survived by many nieces and nephews including, Griselda Perez, Honorina Martinez, Arturo Martinez, Alisa Martinez, Efrain Lopez, Eva Martinez, Cruz Martinez, Gustavo Martinez, Erlinda Suarez, Nayzeth Dominguez, Salomon Lopez, Reyes Hernandez, Valentin Lopez, Maria Ocampo, Yessy Castaneda, Miguel Suarez, Lucero Ruiz, Marialuisa Ortiz, Juana Martinez and Adan Martinez.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 5:00 PM Sunday, April 21, 2019 at the funeral home.
