Quinlin Hensley, 67, Altus, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2012 in Clinton, OK. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Cheyenne, OK with Reverend Boyd Whitehead officiating. Local services are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Quinlin Guy Hensley was born to Guy and Erma (Gantz) Hensley on January 5, 1945 in Shattuck, OK. He attended the Durham school from the 1st to the 6th grade. He graduated from Reydon High School in 1963.Quinlin and Roxie Briggs were united in marriage on August 11, 1963 in Hardesty, Oklahoma. To this union one daughter was born. Quinlin served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1972. The Hensley’s moved to Altus in December 1988.Quinlin attended WOSC from 1989 to 1990 and continued his education at SWOSU in Weatherford, Oklahoma from 1991 to 1992, studying computer science. Mr. Hensley worked in the computer industry as a technician, building computers from 1995 to 2007. He enjoyed flying Radio Controlled Airplanes. Quinlin and Roxie also flew their own Cessna. Quinlin is preceded in death by three sisters, Karen Hensley, Vondell Albright and Winonia (Nona) Jones. He is survived by his wife, Roxie, of the home; one daughter, Stacie Hensley, and one granddaughter, Jessica Hensley, all of Altus, OK; one sister, Patricia Minjaros of Alamogordo, NM; four brothers, Addie Hensley and wife, Norma, of Pampa, TX, Dale LaRoy Hensley and wife, Pat, of Clovis, NM, Ronald Hensley and wife, Darlene, of Durham, OK, and Glen Hensley and wife, Sherry, of Cheyenne, OK; as well a host of other family and friends. The Hensley family will greet friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Kincannon Gathering Room Tuesday, October 30, 2012.
