R.D. “Casey” Jones, 82, Blair, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011 in Oklahoma City, OK. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Friday, July 15, 2011 at the Blair First Baptist Church with Reverend Bobby Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Casey Jones was born November 9, 1928 at Pocassett, OK to Hollie and Ruby (Howard) Jones. He attended schools in Bokchito, OK and graduated from Blair High School in 1947. Casey and Darlene Culberson were married on May 24, 1947 in Vernon, TX, and to this union two daughters were born. He was of the Baptist faith. Casey worked as a truck driver most of his life. He drove the trucks that carried the missiles for the silos in the early 60’s. In later years he owned his own trucking business. He enjoyed listening to blues and country music. His special pet was a chihuahua named Gypsy. He had a big collection of Peterbilt model trucks and memorabilia. He especially loved talking with his grandchildren and playing with his great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is lovingly survived by his loving wife of 64 years; two daughters, Donita Beers and husband, Mark, of Blair, OK, and Jenee Armstrong and husband, Fred, of Blair, OK; a brother, LaRoy Jones and wife, Barbara, of Moore, OK; two sisters, Cleta Biddy and her husband, Glen, of Blair, OK, and Brenda Schultz and husband, Al, of Magnolia, TX; six grandchildren and their spouses; Ryan and Misty Armstrong of Moore, OK, Krista and Shane Wall of Stephenville, TX, Dustin and Mandy Mitchell of Amarillo, TX, Karen and Tony Burke of Blair, OK, Kaci and Luke Spears of Altus, OK, and Amy and Justin Abernathy of Altus, OK; and twelve great-grandchildren, Jade and Paige Armstrong, Payton, Presley and Jackson Wall, Sydney, Turner and Tagen Burke, Kason and Kenzie Abernathy, Reece and Bailey Spears and one on the way. He is also survived by one aunt, Hazel Naylor of Blanchard, OK, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
