R. L. Copeland

R.L. Copeland, 79, Altus, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the English Village Manor. Memorial services will be 1:00 PM Friday, February 28, 2014 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Dyke Crane officiating. Services are under the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home. R.L. Copeland was born on February 21, 1935 in Altus, Oklahoma to J.C. and Stella (Weaver) Copeland. He married Lucille Pease in 1975 in Frederick, Oklahoma. R.L. worked for Murray and Sons Company for many years before retiring in 2001. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching television and playing dominoes. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Copeland, and a brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Mary Copeland. Survivors include his wife, Lucille, of the home; three daughters, Renay Pease of Dallas, TX, Debra Copeland of Stockton, CA, and Yolanda Jefferson and husband, Harold, of Altus, OK; five sons, Jimmy Pease and wife, Tammy, of Ardmore, OK, and Jackie, Robert, Kevin and James Copeland, all of Stockton, CA; nine grandchildren, Antonio Pease, Imesha Copeland, Isaiah Jefferson, Deidre Pease, Keith Pease, Dennis Pease, Brandon Pease, Donald Ray Pease and Ollisha Pease; 25 great grandchildren; 27 great great grandchildren; numerous other family including special cousins, Charles and Henry Goodlow, and a host of friends.
