Ralph Earl Jackson, 69, was called home on February 5, 2018 at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City due to a brief illness. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Apostle Robert Jackson officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at 2 p.m. at Fort Sill National Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Ralph was born February 23, 1948 to Charlie and Ida Mae (Thomas) Jackson in Hobart, Oklahoma. He attended schools in Hobart, Frederick and Altus then joined the United States Army in 1967 and served in the Vietnam War after which he was honorably discharged. After serving in the Army he later served in the Army National Guard for many years. After serving time in the National Guard, Ralph worked for the City of Altus and as a laborer throughout the community where he had many skills from carpentry, handyman to “shade tree” mechanic and was willing to help out any and every one however he could. Ralph was no stranger to anyone and everyone loved Ralph Earl! Family and friends called him either “Slim” or “Mad Dog.” Ralph was all about family, friends and just having a good ole time. He was known as the dancing machine everywhere. If he wasn’t dancing he was trying to sing or doing both and was loved by everyone and we will always have those memories to cherish.
Ralph was preceded in death by both parents, a daughter, Dominique Robinson, a son,Kenyatta Robinson, 2 brothers, Charlie Jackson Jr. and Richard “ Bubba” Jackson, 4 sisters, Marilyn Jackson, Willie Maude Anderson, Elizabeth McKeaver and Ollie Mae Wilson.
He leaves to celebrate his life his wife, Wilma Robinson, of the home; a daughter, Paula Kay Boggess and husband, KeAndre; four sons, Quentin Rice, Rashad Burris, Cedric Robinson and Demetrice Gibson; four brothers, Robert Jackson and wife, Gwen, Marion Jackson, Harry Washington and Larry Washington and wife, Pam; nine grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; a godson, Kentraiyle Robinson; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends.
The Jackson family will greet friends Monday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
