Ralph Wayne Campbell

Ralph Wayne Campbell, 65, of Altus, OK passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, June 16, 2014 at Blair Cemetery. Interment will follow under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Ralph Wayne Campbell was born May 22, 1949 in Ironton, Missouri to Elzie and Edna Ruth (Billedo) Campbell. He graduated from high school and received an Associate Degree. Ralph married Lillian Hathaway May 22, 1970 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He spent twenty-two years in the United States Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant. While in the Air Force, he proudly served his country in Vietnam and Desert Storm. He first worked in the maintenance department, became a Flight Engineer, later a Flight Instructor, and a Flight Examiner. After retirement from the Air Force, he began working with the Department of Corrections as a correctional officer and retired as a case manager. He enjoyed tinkering around on the farm and watching old history shows. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, James, Harold, Don and Elzie Lloyd Campbell. Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife, Lillian, of the home; two sons, Timothy Campbell and Robert Campbell both of Altus; one sister, Shirley Bowles and husband, William of Plano, Texas; and numerous other family and friends. Mr. Campbell will lie in state from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Kincannon Funeral Home. The Campbell family will greet friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
