Raymond Hall, 94, Altus, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2012 in Woodward, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 17, 2012 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Charles Goin officiating. Burial will be in the Victory Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Raymond was born on March 17, 1918 in Olustee, Oklahoma, the second son of H.L. and I. Eula Hall. Raymond grew up in Olustee and graduated from Olustee High School in 1936. After graduation, he worked in Salinas, California hauling agricultural products up and down the coast. In 1942, he joined the US Army and served three years with the 7th Armored Division, Tank Division, under Generals Patton and Montgomery, in France and Germany. Upon his return in 1945, he worked as a mechanic for Milford Stone in Altus, Oklahoma. On April 2, 1949, he married Ruth Elizabeth Olson in Altus. She preceded him in death after 58 years of marriage. In 1951, he started farming. Growing up, he always wanted to be a cattle farmer and that was where he was always the most happy. In 1960, he became self-employed as an auto and farm equipment mechanic while continuing to farm. He always wanted to be remembered as a friendly person. In addition to his parents and wife, Raymond was preceded in death by his brothers, Clyde Loyal Hall of Salinas, CA, and Roy Lee Hall of Baytown, TX; his sisters, Beuna Ivis Hall, who died in infancy, Lena Mae Drum of Pasa Robles, CA, Betty Lou Grider of Edmond, OK, and Vauda Van Golson of Muskogee, OK. He is survived by his children, Donna Johnston of Oklahoma City, OK, Nancy Goin and husband, Charles, of Woodward, OK, Gerald Hall and wife, Linda, of Lawton, OK, and Coy Hall of Altus, OK; his brothers, Clark Hall and wife, Vivian, La Marque, TX, and Kenneth Hall of Midland, TX; his sisters, Ellen Hankins of Altus, OK and Helen Hall of Seabrook, TX; his grandchildren, Mary Hall of Sentinel, OK, Jason Hall and wife, Rachell, of Stillwater, OK, Eric Johnston of Oklahoma City, OK, Daniel Hall of Sentinel, OK, Kourtnei Storm and husband, Barrett, of Woodward, OK, and Tyler Hall of Tinker Air Force Base, OK; his great grandchildren, Kamden, Brayson and Brooks Storm, and Claire Hall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
