Regenia Sue Carter

Regenia Sue Carter, 71, Altus, passed away early Friday morning, September 16, 2011 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 18, 2011 at the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ with Tom Bailey officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Sue was born on February 19, 1940 to Alvin and Madelene (Scott) Carter in Hollis, Oklahoma. She attended and graduated from Ron School, northeast of Hollis, in 1958. Sue married Donald Ray Stegall in Harmon County in 1959. She worked as a secretary for Brinkman Appraisals from 1977 until her retirement in 2004. She was a member of Elm and Hudson Church of Christ and had attended Western Oklahoma State College. She enjoyed gardening, garage sales, and spending time with her grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents. Sue is survived by one daughter, Merrill Ahrens and husband, Loren, and two grandsons, Drew Ahrens and Tanner Ahrens, all of Altus, OK; one brother, Keith Carter and wife, Linda, of Martha, Oklahoma; and a host of friends.
