Rev. James Marcel Jones, 55, Altus, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Kincannon Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Bostic, Rev. Thomas Hanes and Rev. Robert Jackson officiating. Burial will follow services at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Mr. Jones was born September 8, 1954 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Ora Lee (Veals) Jones and raised by his mother Ora Lee and his stepfather Robert Arradondo. He attended Altus Public Schools. He was a cook and a chef most of his adult life. He worked at Taco Mayo for several years. He owned Little House of Barbeque on Pecan Street and Falcon Road for about fifteen years. He was a member of St. John’s Baptist Church. He enjoyed cooking, barbeque, singing, fishing, playing pool and spending time family and friends. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Robert Arradondo, and a brother, Anthony Pikes. He is survived by three sons, Rashad Jones, Shayquan Jones and Christopher Martin, all of Altus, OK; his mother, Ora Lee of Altus, OK; two sisters, Sherry and Jennifer, both of Altus, OK; three brothers, Arthur, and Verlon and wife, Loretta, all of Altus, OK; and Melvin and wife, Kris, of Denver, CO; dear special friend, Lula Ray, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends whom he loved dearly.
