Richard S. Bolding

Richard S. Bolding, 58, Granite, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Mangum Hospital. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Hobart Rose Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.
Richard Stephen Bolding was born December 31, 1956 to Royce and Carol (McFarland) Bolding in Hobart, Oklahoma . He graduated from Roosevelt High School with the class of 1975 and married Lynda Elizabeth Hill on December 7, 2000 in Vernon, Texas. He retired from the Department of Corrections at the Granite Reformatory in 2007 after twenty three and a half years as a Correctional Security Officer. He worked for Normac Drilling, a division of Chesapeake Energy, in the oilfield from 2007 until 2014. He then returned to work at Granite and worked there from 2014 to present. Richard was of the Christian faith and was a heavy equipment operator.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents; son, Shane Bolding; and sister Jennna. He leaves behind his wife Lynda; mother Carol McFarland and her husband Rodney Guthrie; one daughter, Elizabeth Burd; three sons, Chris Bolding, Steven Lawrence and Michael Lawrence; eight grandchildren, Blaine Lawrence, JJ Burd, Moriah Burd, Steven Lawrence, Jr., Jacob Lawrence, Hayden Lawrence, Logen Lawrence, and Olivia Lawrence; one great- granddaughter, Laina Rose Burd; and one sister, Janet Connolly and her husband Gary.
The Bolding family will greet friends from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM Monday evening at the Kincannon Gathering Room.
