Richard Dix Wohl was born September 20, 1931 to Fred and Joan (Zollman) Wohl in Panhandle, Texas. He attended and graduated from Leedey High School, Leedey, Oklahoma. He then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State in Weatherford, Oklahoma for one year. Richard served his country in the United States Army, enlisting in 1956. He was stationed in Germany and was honorably discharged in 1958. Richard and Thelma Cowett were united in marriage on September 2, 1983 in Vernon, Texas. He farmed and worked as a dairy farmer for fourteen years in Kansas. Later, he was a self employed general handyman. Richard was of the Christian Faith. He enjoyed tinkering and fixing things, playing horseshoes and playing with his pet chihuahua "Peanut". Richard loved time spent with family and friends above all.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Trina Reed and brother, Leroy Gaston.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Thelma of the home; son, Michael Wohl and wife Gina; grandson, Michael Wohl, Jr. and granddaughter, Michaela Ann Wohl. He also leaves behind several nephews, neices and other relatives
