Ricky Harold Crouch, 66, of Altus, went home to the Lord on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel in Altus, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at the Hess Cemetery southeast of Altus under the care of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Ricky was born on March 12, 1957 in Pampa, Texas to Harold Wayne Crouch and Frances Oleta (Ferguson) Beggs. The family moved to Elmer, Oklahoma where Ricky was raised. Ricky was a proud graduate from the Class of 1975 from Southside High School. After high school, Ricky married Glenda Gayle Landers on July 21, 1977 at the Southside Baptist Church and they have enjoyed over 46 years of marriage together. Ricky worked for the Jackson County District 2 for over 32 years, and he served as the Jackson County Commissioner for more than 18 years before his retirement. Ricky began his ministry as a youth minister in 2006 at Southside Baptist, later serving as youth minister and music director at Duke First Baptist Church. For the last 16 years, Ricky has served the Corinth Baptist Church as music and youth director and for the last 13 years as the Corinth Baptist Church Pastor. Ricky enjoyed attending Falls Creek and pastoring youth as they came to know the Lord. He also had great joy in officiating weddings, and it was a great honor for him to officiate all three of his children's weddings. Ricky enjoyed being involved with his children's sporting events, coaching them, and taking his children to many places to sing and praise the Lord. Ricky served in numerous organizations and boards throughout the years. In his free time he enjoyed watching and attending Nascar races with his family.
Preceding Ricky in death were his daughter, Crissy Ann Crouch; father, Harold Wayne Crouch; mother, Francis Oleta Beggs; stepfather, James Earl Beggs; in-laws, Eldred and Odessia Landers; stepmother, Imogene Crouch; sister-in-law, Diana Lynn Landers; and brother-in-law, Dale Landers.
Those left to honor Ricky's legacy are his wife, Glenda Gayle Crouch of their home in Altus; three children, Tephanie Gayle Carman and husband, Jesse Andrew Carman of Altus, Tabitha Leigh Warren and husband, Erik Thomas Warren of Hobart, and Ricky Tatum Crouch and wife, Katie Crouch of Altus; sisters-in-law, Diane Raley Landers of Sentinel and Terrie Dawn Berryhill of Altus; thirteen brothers and sisters, Kathy Ann Phillips and husband, Jerry, Richard Beggs and wife, Penny, Barry Beggs and wife, Shirley, David Crouch and wife, Robin, Debbie Holt and husband, James, Larry Beggs and wife, Gail, Stevie Beggs and wife, Bobbette, Judy Anderson, Wanda Carpenter and husband, Wayne; Farris Berryhill and wife, Janice, Danny Berryhill, and Steve Berryhill; six grandchildren, Trenton, Jaylee, Amalyn, Rexton, Lynlee, and Lincoln; brother-in-law, James Landers; brother-in-law, Jimmy Beggs; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, other family members, and many friends.
Ricky served his Lord, his family, and his community for many years. He will be greatly missed by his family, church body, friends, and the countless lives he touched daily.
