Robert Dean Behne

Robert Dean Behne, 80, of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014 at his home. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation services are entrusted to the care of Kincannon Funeral Home. Robert Dean Behne was born November 18, 1933 to Joseph Thomas and Faye Ann (Epperson) Behne in Guymon, Oklahoma. He attended Guymon Public Schools and thereafter, enlisted in the U.S. Army in March of 1951. He proudly served in Korea during his enlistment and was honorably discharged in March of 1954. After his years of service, Robert traveled around the world during his career as a consultant in the oil industry. On June 29, 1977 he married Margie Sullivan in Vernon, Texas. Robert and Margie settled down in Altus, where they opened small businesses. Not a man of idle hands, Robert worked up until his passing. In his free time he enjoyed doing yard work, spending quiet time at home with his wife and visiting with friends. Mr. Behne was preceded in death by his parents, Joe & Faye; brothers, Bill and Tommy; and sister, Lillian Oxley. He is survived by his wife, Margie, of the home; one daughter, Debora Dean Newell of Austin, Texas; two step-daughters, Sandi Squicquero and husband, David, of Colorado, Sherry Orlofsky and husband, Daniel, of Colorado; three step-sons, Robert Trujillo of Colorado, Ausie “Pat” Patterson and wife, Melinda, of Altus, Oklahoma, and Frank Patterson of Altus, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; one sister, Nancy Wasinger of Brighton, Colorado and a host of friends.
