Robert Lee "Bob" Lane, 73, Blair, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the English Village Manor. A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation services are under the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Robert Lee Lane was born on January 3, 1944 in Buffalo, Oklahoma to Frank S. and Beaulah M. (Rennels) Lane. Robert graduated from high school at Southside in 1962 and served two years in the US Army. He was honorably discharged as a Specialist in July of 1968. He retired from the Altus Police Department following 21 years of service, then served three years with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed the outdoors while fishing and hunting.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Frankie and J.C. Lane; and a sister, Jean Alward.
Survivors include a son, Robert Keith Lane; a stepson, Robert; two stepdaughters, Sara A. Clark and Carrie Ann; three sisters, Kay Glenn, Linda Huddleston and Wanda Litchford; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
