Ronald Patrick “Pat” Casey, 47, East Brunswick, NJ, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the Tamarack Road Church of Christ with Clint Burns and Bill Osborne officiating. Burial will follow at the Restlawn Cemetery under direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Ronald Patrick Casey was born March 25, 1963 in Dayton, Ohio to Ronald Harlan and Shirley Ann (Long) Casey. Pat graduated from Alta Loma High School in California in 1980. He attended California Polytechnic University of Pomona for five years majoring in Electrical Engineering and also studied Music there. Pat married Cynthia Ann Acosta December 21, 1985 in West Covina, CA. Two sons were born to this union. He worked as a Senior Systems Engineer for Misys International Banking in New York, NY. He was a member of the Echo Lake Church of Christ in Westfield, NJ. He loved music and played bass trombone for many years. He also enjoyed computers and was an avid people watcher. He always wanted to sit facing the people in restaurants, so that he could enjoy watching them. Mr. Casey was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Pat Long, paternal grandfather, Harlan Casey, paternal grandmother, Nell (Rutledge) Casey, and brother, Timothy Lee Casey. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; two sons, Daniel Patrick Casey and Jeffrey Scott Casey, both of East Brunswick, NJ; parents, Ronald and Shirley Casey of Harker Heights, TX; one sister, Dana Lynn Casey Lentz and husband, Mike, of Jacksonville, FL; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Katie Long of Altus, OK; two nieces, Erin and Megan Lentz, both of Jacksonville, FL; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Memorials may be made to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Ave., New York, NY 10065 in memory of Ronald Patrick Casey.
