Rosario Garrido

Rosario Garrido, 73, Altus, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2010 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. A Rosary will be held 6:00 pm, Sunday at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Monday, August 30 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Sundar officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Rosario was born December 5, 1936 to Bernardo and Concepcion (Gonzalez) Garrido in Mexico. He married Maria Perez in 1956 in Mexico. He was a farmer and worked in agriculture his entire life. He is survived by his wife, Maria of the home; five sons, Abuendio Garrido and wife Maximina of Altus, OK, Natividad Garrido and his wife Maria of Altus, OK, Zenon Garrido of Altus, OK, Manuel Garrido and his wife Maria of Garland, TX, and Gonzalo Garrido and his wife Lucia of Altus, OK; five brothers, three sisters; fourteen grandchildren, Christina Villegas, Robert Garrido, Geraldo Garrido, Alex Garrido, Mario Garrido, Betty Grenados, Fabiola Garrido, David Garrido, Zenon Garrido, Jr., Erik Garrido, Evelyn Garrido, Manuel Garrido, Uriel Garrido and Gonzalo Garrido, Jr.; and eight great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Giovanni, Valerie, Arihanna, Annamarie, Mario, Jr., and Adrien, Alonzo.
