Roy Clayton Porter, 83, Plainview, Texas, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011 in Plainview. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Mountain Park Cemetery, Mountain Park, Oklahoma, with Q.D. Belvell officiating. Services are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Mr. Porter was born on July 12, 1927 in Cold Springs, Oklahoma to Robert Albert and Minnie (Dickerson) Porter. He graduated from high school in Mountain Park and attended college in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as a compress superintendent for West Texas Industries and retired after 36 years. He married Martha Rudd in Littlefield, Texas on May 26, 1972. Roy was a member of the Masonic Lodge. His parents and a sister, Lottie Fagg, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Martha, of the home; a daughter, Kaylynn Lee of San Francisco, California; a son, Mark Porter and his wife, Louise, of Ralls, Texas; a stepson, Dusty Rudd and his wife, Judy, of Lubbock, Texas; nine grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, a sister, Ruth Simms of Norman, Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Marie Kincannon and husband, Ted, of Altus, Oklahoma and a host of nieces and nephews. The Porter Family will greet friends from 5pm to 6pm Sunday evening at Kincannon Funeral Home in Altus, Oklahoma.
