Ruperto “Pepe” Rosalez, 83, passed away Monday, March 31, at his home in Mangum. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Fuente De Salvacion Church with Alfredo Montez officiating. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Ruperto Rosalez was born March 27, 1931 to Acencion and Francisca (Montez) Rosalez in Charco, Texas. He attended school in Texas. He worked as a farmer all his life. Ruperto loved going to church, riding his bike, fishing and visiting family, including family in Taft, Texas. He was a member of the Fuente De Salvacion Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; his life partner, Maria “Lupe” Avila, in 2001; his sister, Trinidad Saldivar; and two brothers, Pablo Rosalez and Emilio Rosalez. He leaves behind one sister, Agrora Magoon and husband, Richard, of Altus, OK, and one brother, Elias Rosalez and wife, Hortencia, of Blair, OK. He also leaves behind a host of many nieces and nephews, many of whom he had a part in raising. He also leaves behind many friends. Viewing for Mr. Rosalez will be held at the Fuente De Salvacion Church Wednesday evening from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. A wake will be held at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, April 2, 2013 at the church.
