Ruth "Baby" High

Ruth Ann “Baby” High, 56, Altus, passed away Monday, October 25, 2010 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with John Skinner, Minister, officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City. “Baby” was born on August 30, 1954 in Altus, Oklahoma to Willie and Ethel Lee (Coleman) High. She was a very special mother, sister, aunt and friend as well, known and loved by many. She will be truly missed by all. Ruth Ann leaves to mourn three children; Cornell High, Elizabeth High, and Roderick High, and one adopted daughter, Georgia Jasper, all of Altus, OK; five sisters, Mearle (High) Pennon of Elk Grove, CA, Bobby Jean Jefferson, Emma Mayberry, and Ethel High and her special friend, Gary Fuller, all of Altus, OK, and Joy Oliver of Houston, TX; four grandchildren, Ashley, Taela, Te Andre, and Kelt, all of Altus, OK; two great grandchildren, Braxton Banks High of Kansas City, MO and Zy’rieck High of Altus, OK. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and many, many friends, including one who was very dear to her heart, C.J. Jefferson. Ruth Ann also leaves us to join her parents, Willie and Ethel Lee High, three sisters, Georgia (High) Richards, Lu Iza (High) White, and Joanne High, one brother, L.W. High, and one great grandson, LaMarcus Albert Bryant, Jr. A meal will be shared at the Altus Church of Christ, 600 West Pecan, following services.
