Ruth L. Hill

Ruth L. Hill, 74, formerly of Altus, passed away Monday, October 31, 2011in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Hill Family will meet in the Centennial Memorial Chapel at the Altus City Cemetery at 1 pm Saturday, November 5, 2011, to view a memorial video with graveside services to follow at 2:00 pm, with Bishop Charlene Walker officiating. Services are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Ruth was born on May 27, 1937 to Elbert and Mae Etta (Mitchell) Richards in Hollis, Oklahoma. She attended Lincoln School in Altus. She was a foster grandparent at Eugene Field School in Oklahoma City. Ruth loved cooking, reading, and most of all, spending time with her family. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Herbert Hill, a grandson, Brandon Hill, and two brothers, Albert Richards, Jr. and Travis Richards. She is survived by two daughters, Ava Anthony and husband, Ashley, of Altus, OK, and Tanysia Hill of Oklahoma City, OK; two sons, James “Arnie” Richards of Oklahoma City, OK, and Phileas Phillips of Dayton, OH; three sisters, Novella Richards of Altus, OK, Ruby Davis of Altus, OK, and Gloria Ferris of Belton, TX; three brothers, Robert Richards of Texas, Joe Richards of Lawton, OK, and David Richards of Altus, OK; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a special friend, Lawrence Clay; as well as a host of other family.
