Sandra Sue Graham

Sandra Sue “Sandy” Graham, 76, longtime resident of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home the morning of Tuesday, July 16, 2024. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Monday, July 22nd, in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Erin Martinez and Sandy's grandson, Mateo Mendez officiating. Inurnment will immediately follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the care of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Sandy Boysen was born on September 9, 1947, to John Paul and Audrey Bernice (Longabaugh) Boysen in Pueblo, Colorado. She attended and graduated from Pueblo East High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Colorado State College. Sandy married Lawrence Paul “Larry” Graham in Pueblo on April 12, 1969, and together they raised two beautiful daughters, Lori and Lisa. Sandy was a devoted military wife and stay at home mom while her girls were young. She was always involved and present for anything her girls needed.

Her passion for education was evident to all her students during her years as an adult education teacher. She enjoyed watching wildlife, especially the deer at the lake, and puzzle books. Her passion was crocheting and gifting handmade afghans to everyone she met; however, her most treasured pastime was any time spent with family.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Larry; daughters, Lori Hagen and husband, Tim and Lisa Mendez and husband, Alfredo; grandson, Mateo Mendez; sister, Pam Hyndman and husband, Danny; mother-in-law, Mildred Graham; brother-in law, Mike Graham; and other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Blake Hagen; sisters, Diane Pagano and Debbie Poor; and her parents, John and Audrey.
