Sandra Lynn Willis, 54, Altus, passed away on January 7, 2022 in Altus. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Sandra Lynn Willis was born on October 16, 1967 in McHenry, Illinois to Robert D. and Linda M. (Barnett) Willis. Sandra grew up in Altus and graduated from Altus High School with the class of 1985. While in school she participated as a foreign exchange in Colombia. She attended Oklahoma State University and received her bachelor’s degree. Sandra worked on her master’s degree and studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain for a year and at the University of Kansas for another year. She spent time in Yugoslavia and Cairo, Egypt with former foreign exchange students that we had hosted. She worked several jobs but one she enjoyed was reading the news for the visually impaired. Sandra loved reading, horses, and Spanish.
Her father, Robert D. Willis, and a brother, Donald V. Hunt, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Linda and Larry Willis; two brothers, Brian D. Willis and wife, Tiffany, and William R. Fuller and wife, Rita; a sister-in-law, Beverly Hunt; and many other family members and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped at olbph.org/OSLS or to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America at mymsaa.org.
