Santana G. Lopez, 78, passed away at his home in Blair Wednesday, March 1, 2017. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Pastor Richard Reyes officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.
Santana was born July 26, 1938 to Enrique and Margarita (Garcia) Lopez, in Brownsville, Texas. He attended school in Brownsville, Texas. Santana and Lucille Chacon were united in marriage on November 21, 1960 in Altus, Oklahoma. To this marriage three children were born. Santana was a carpenter by trade and was a member of the Strong Tower Church. He loved fishing, hunting and camping with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Margarito Lopez , Tomas Lopez and Enrique Lopez, Jr.
Santana leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Lucille of the home; daughter, Dora Sanders and husband Brent; sons, David and Abel Lopez; five grandchildren, Melissa, Julie, William, Blair and Santana; six great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Severo Lopez and wife Rosa, Juan Lopez and wife Eugenia, Jesus Lopez and wife Rebecca, Stella Hinojosa and husband Antonio, Raymunda Walker and husband Joe, Sebastian Lopez, Andrew Lopez, Moises Lopez and wife Michelle, Enriqueta Guerra and husband Armando; Inez Bailey; two sisters in law, Hortencia Lopez and Emilia Lopez and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a host of friends.
The family will greet friends Friday evening from 6-8pm at Kincannon Funeral Home.
