Sean Michael Davis, 39, died the 30th day of March 2018, due to illness while battling leukemia. Mike was born on September 25, 1978, in Monticello, Indiana to Michael Brian Davis and Beth Davis. Mike had one brother, Jim Davis and one sister, Sarah Davis. Eventually, Mike moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he met his wife in the 7th grade, graduated high school, and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 2000. After marrying Kelly True-Lee on June 12, 2004, Mike and Kelly moved to Altus, Oklahoma, where Mike served as Lead Firefighter, 97th Civil Engineer Squadron, 97th Mission Support Group, 97th Air Mobility Wing, Altus Air Force Base. During his time at Altus Air Force Base Mike was selected as an Outstanding Performer by the Headquarters Air Education Training Command Inspection General team. Mike was instrumental in Altus Air Force Base winning the 2014 Air Force Commander-in-Chief Installation Excellence Award, and his professionalism and fire emergency expertise contributed to Air Education and Training Command awarding Altus Air Force Base the 2010, 2014, and 2016 Best Medium Sized Fire Department of the year awards. As a result of his distinctive accomplishments, in January 2018, Mike received accreditation from Lance D. Whitfill, Colonel, USAF Commander, 97th Mission Support Group. Mike was one of the most loyal people you could ever meet. He was strong, kind, dependable, and loved to joke around. No matter what he was going through he would try to make those around him smile and laugh. He was loved by many, and he will be sorely missed.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kincannon Funeral Home in Altus, Oklahoma. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Elm and Hudson Church of Christ in Altus, Oklahoma, followed by interment on Friday, April 6, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Hogan Cemetery in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife Kelly Davis, son Wyatt, daughter Kate, mother Beth Davis, brother Jim Davis, and sister Sarah Davis. Mike is also survived by his father-in-law, Gerald Lee, mother-in-law Lea Ann Lee, sisters-in-law Allison Robinson, Kendall Payne, and Jessica Salter, brother-in-law James Lee, and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved and cared for deeply.
