Sharon Kay Roberson, 68, Altus, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Erin Martinez officiating. Services are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Sharon Kay Newsom was born on July 23, 1948 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Edwin and Bertha (Cox) Newsom. The family moved to Altus and she graduated from Altus High School in 1966. Sharon married Sammy Lynn Roberson in Altus on February 19, 1967. She attended Western Oklahoma State College in the late '80's and she graduated from the Nursing School. Sharon worked as a Registered Nurse at English Village Manor, Sunshine Homecare and the Plantation Nursing Home in Mangum. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed sewing, crafting, gardening and quilting.
Her parents and two brothers, Charles and Donnie Newsom, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Turner; two grandchildren, Taylor Turner and Nick Turner and wife, Shelby; and a great grandson, Aiden Turner.
