Shelly Elaine Hopkins

Shelly Elaine Hopkins, 33, of Granite, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 23, 2014 at Granite First Baptist Church with Ben Van Vactor officiating. Burial will follow at the Granite City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Shelly was born December 29, 1980 to Rayford and Lydia Gwyn (Duncan) Hopkins in Mangum, Oklahoma. She graduated from Granite High School in 1999. She was a CNA in the healthcare industry and a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Granite. Shelly was an avid reader and enjoyed music, movies, and her computer. She was also an animal lover and known for her love of children. She was preceded in death by her father, Rayford; and a brother, Robert Hopkins. Shelly is survived by her mother, Gwyn, of the home; one brother, Ira Hopkins and wife, Teresa, of Granite, OK; three nephews, Brett, Brady, and Bo Hopkins; a special friend, who is like a sister, Sandy Flores of Andrews, TX, and Sandy’s kids Breanna and Braden, who are like nieces; and a host of friends.
