Sherry Lynn Isbell was born to Robert and Lillian (McDoniel) Isbell on September 18, 1941 in Blair, Oklahoma. Sherry graduated from Altus High School with the class of 1960. Sherry and Earl Holding were united in marriage on January 19, 1963 in Altus, Oklahoma. To this union two sons were born. Sherry was a medical clerk with the Veterans Administration in Loma Linda, California; Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Denver, Colorado for several years. She had also worked in the VA office at Altus Air Force Base for several years before retiring in 1998. Sherry enjoyed gardening and fishing. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her family. Her greatest joy, however, was serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church and lived each and every day in His service and offered her life as a testimony to His glory and grace. Sherry lived at peace and with love for all and served as a living example of God's eternal love and grace. Sherry slipped quietly into God's arms with the same peace and love which her life displayed.
Sherry is preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Robert W. Isbell.
She leaves behind her husband, Earl of the home; two sons, Randy Holding of Wichita, Kansas and Rex Holding of Altus, Oklahoma; and one sister, Phyllis Isbell of Ft. Worth, Texas. Sherry also leaves behind many friends.
