Shirley Jo Hubert, 84, Altus, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2019 at English Village Manor. Graveside services have been scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Altus City Cemetery with Chaplain Erin Martinez officiating. Services were entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service
Shirley Turner was born on August 28, 1934 to William "Bill" and Carmen "Tudie" (Rice) Turner, in Altus, Oklahoma. She attended schools in Altus and graduated from Altus High School in 1952. She was employed by the First National Bank for many years before moving to Oklahoma City. She worked for Liberty Bank until her retirement in 1996. Shirley enjoyed reading and working jigsaw puzzles. She attended Eagle's Crest Church and worked there as the church secretary after her retirement. Shirley moved back to Altus in 2015 and resided there until her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carmen "Dottie" Turner; and grandson, J.J. Hubert.
Shirley is survived by her two sons; Gary Hubert of Altus and David Hubert and wife, Beverly, of Jacksonville, NC; her sister, Willadean Bush of Durant, OK; her grandson, Jeff Hubert and wife, Karen, and granddaughter, Melissa Hubert, all of Altus; also by four great-grandchildren; two nephews and two nieces.
The Hubert family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday at the Kincannon Gathering Room.
