Shirley Arlene James, 80, Eldorado, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the Eldorado Church of Christ with Eric Houck officiating. Burial will follow in the Camargo Cemetery, Camargo, Oklahoma, under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.
Shirley Arlene Carman was born on April 10, 1935 to Harry E. and Cora B. (Wofford) Carman in Clinton, Oklahoma. Shirley and Clifford Dale James were united in marriage on February 5, 1962 in Arkansas. Shirley was a homemaker and worked tirelessly raising five children. Shirley enjoyed being outdoors, doing yard work, traveling, and working alongside her husband on their farm before he passed away. She loved family time and was a member of the Eldorado Church of Christ.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Acy E. James; a stepson, Clifford James, Jr. and one stepdaughter, Cora Strickland.
She is survived by three daughters, Dalene Wood and husband, Brent; Ola Sykora; Krystle Hair and husband, Wade; a son, Reuben Jesse James; a stepson, David James and wife, Jeanne; two daughters-in-law, Linda Ledford and Tammy James; thirteen grandchildren, Clifford Dale James, III, Cindy Reiher, Kandi Stewart, Tammy Roberts, Veronica Durham, Brent Omo, Kristy Wyatt, Scott James, Acy James, Jr., Karsten Sykora, Kameryn Wood, Emmory Wood, Keaton Wood, Krystle and Wade's new one on the way; twenty seven great grandchildren and many other family members and community friends.
