Sonya Suzanne "Susie" Price

Sonya Suzanne "Susie" Price, 78, Altus, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2016 at Plantation Nursing Home in Altus. The Price family will greet friends Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kincannon Funeral Home. Visitation and private family graveside services are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

Sonya Suzanne Stewart was born June 17, 1938 in Bourbon, Indiana to Roy E. and Lois E. (Elkins) Stewart. She graduated from Bourbon High School in 1956 and married Ronald G. Price, Jr. on July 15, 1956 in Bourbon, Indiana. To this union one son and two daughters were born. Susie worked nine years in retail as K-Mart's Personnel Director in Arlington, Texas. She worked alongside her husband in their First Impressions home restoration business for about ten years. Most Altusans will remember Susie when she managed the Hallmark store inside Walmart for about ten years. Susie had been a member of the Sublet Road Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. She enjoyed crafts, decorating, reading and spending time with her friends and family.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Ron; two daughters, Christine L. Miller and husband, David; Stephanie A. Chirbas and husband, David; one son, Gregory W. Price and wife, Nancy; three sisters, Elese Emond and husband, Bryan; Dixie Thacker and husband, Richard; and Judy Price; one brother, Marvin Stewart and wife, Sue; six grandchildren, Joshua Price and wife, Amanda; Matthew Price and wife, Cassandra; Layne Boddy; Madyson Boddy; Joseph Chirbas; Augusta Chirbas, and many friends.
