Susana Rodriquez Lopez

Susana Rodriquez Lopez, 80, Olustee, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2011 at the Plantation Village Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Jesus Lopez officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Mrs. Lopez was born on January 27, 1931 in Barrea, Texas to Jesus and Sabastaina (Ybarra) Rodriquez. She attended grade school near Brownsville, Texas. She married Enrique Lopez in Brownsville, Texas on January 27, 1948. Susana was a homemaker and enjoyed her family coming to visit. She enjoyed being in her garden and tending to her chickens. She was a member of the House of Prayer in Altus and loved volunteering there. Her favorite meal was rice. She loved to cook for her husband, Enrique Lopez, and her fourteen children. Her parents, her husband, Enrique Lopez, a son, Enrique Lopez, Jr., a grandson, Nathan Hieder, and two granddaughters, Erica Lopez and Stephana Walker, preceded her in death. Survivors include four daughters, Stella Hinojosa of Olustee, Oklahoma, Raymunda Walker of Vernon, Texas, Enriqueta Guerra of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Inez Bailey of Havelock, North Carolina; nine sons, Santana Lopez of Blair, Oklahoma, Severo Lopez of Blair, Oklahoma, Margarito Lopez of Olustee, Oklahoma, Juan Lopez of Brownsville, Texas, Jesus Lopez of Altus, Oklahoma, Thomas Lopez of Snyder, Oklahoma, Sabastian Lopez of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Andrew Lopez of Olustee, Oklahoma, and Moses Lopez of Altus, Oklahoma; 46 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren. The family will greet friends from 7:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at the funeral home.
