Sylvia Jean Hansen

Sylvia Jean Hansen, 80, Altus, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021at Southwest Medical Center in Lawton, Oklahoma. Family, friends and others whose lives Sylvia touched are invited to Friendship Baptist Church from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 to reminisce and celebrate her life. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Sylvia was born on June 10, 1940 in Foster, Oklahoma to Clyde and Loree (Morphew) Hensley. After graduating high school in Pauls Valley, Sylvia went on to obtain a licensed practical nurse license. She spent many years working in the nursing field sharing her love of taking care of and helping others. Sylvia truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as chatting with family and friends, cross stitching, putting together community groups, and assisting her church family anyway that she could. Sylvia had an uncanny way of reaching people in a deep and positive way.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, DuWaine; son, Eddie Moore; parents, Clyde and Loree Hensley; and grandchildren, Jeremy Browning and Natasha (Moore) Michaud.

She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Kimball; grandchildren, Amanda Rowell, Johnathan Moore, Micheal Browning and Melody Tollison; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
