Teena L. Emmons, 59, Hollis, formerly of Eldorado, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at her home. A graveside service will held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Viewing will be available and Kincannon’s Eldorado Chapel Friday and Saturday prior to the service.
Teena Lavonne Emmons was born May 3, 1962 in Amherst, Texas to Loney and Virginia May (Weldon) Arter. Teena’s family later moved to Eldorado, Oklahoma where she attended school. She married Charles David Emmons January 18, 1982 in Vernon, Texas and to this union three children were born – David, Lafonda and Joshua. Teena was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed being a homemaker, providing for and tending to the needs of her family. She had also worked at the Mangum, Oklahoma Love’s Country Store, as cashier, from 2001 until 2007, when the family moved to Hollis, Oklahoma. She had been a member of the Eldorado First Baptist Church and later, the Hollis First Baptist Church. She and her husband appreciated their time together, especially during family get togethers and time spent fishing.
Teena was preceded in death by her parents, Loney and Virginia Arter; and a grandson, Cutter Emmons. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Charles David Emmons; two sons, David Emmons and wife, Tracy, and Joshua Emmons; one daughter, Lafonda Emmons; siblings, David Arter, Butch Arter, Kenneth Arter, Wanda Hamersley, Joe Arter, Joy McDonald, Shirley Maples, Carla Maples, and Connie Snyder; seven grandchildren, Asher, Layton and Kameron Emmons, Chelsea, Dusty, Kaylin and Joshua Milford; and many other relatives and friends.
