Terrie was born April 28, 1941 to Raymie H. and Kathleen (Bennett) Reeves, Sr. at San Antonio, Texas. She married Charles McKenzie on August 14, 1957 in Vernon, Texas. Charles passed away, April 17, 1995. She retired from Cotton Growers Gin after 23 years as the secretary. She attended the Cowboy Church. She enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, collecting turtles and cooking. Her special hobby was collecting cookbooks. When Terrie and Charles married, he was a custom wheat harvester. They spent every summer cutting wheat. Terrie cooked for a crew of 15, every day, three square meals a day. In the winter, while Charles was on maize harvest, Terrie worked to supplement the income for her family, which led her to be a jack of all trades. She had her cosmetology license, worked as a CNA and finally started as a scale clerk at Cotton Growers Gin. She worked at Cotton Growers until her retirement. Terrie was a fierce protector of her family and children. A favorite story, the kids were out playing one day while on wheat harvest, when they came upon a huge rattlesnake. Terrie just grabbed a hoe and chopped the snakes head off. The kids went right back to playing! Charles and Terrie spent many hours traveling the countryside, sightseeing, visiting family and camping at Tom Steed Lake. She had an expansive turtle collection, with well over three thousand turtles. She also loved collecting cookbooks and trying new recipes. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, Greg Reeves, who is a twin to Kent. She is survived by two daughters, Dondra McKenzie of Binger, OK, and Tracy Weathers and husband, Gary, of Altus, OK; one son, David McKenzie and wife, Kathy, of Altus, OK; seven grandchildren, Aubrey, Charli, Bonnie and husband, William, Kaesi and husband, Jeremy, Tyler, Kerri and Kathren; four great grandchildren, Jaden, Kalie, Tabatha and Madison; a sister, Vicky McCuddy and husband, Larry, of Luther, OK; two brothers, Kent Reeves and wife, Joyce, of San Juan Capistrano, CA, and Raymie H.
