Thomas Lynn “Tommy” Patterson, 69, longtime resident of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Fort Sill National Cemetery with military honors rendered by the United States Army. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Tommy was born on July 5, 1955, in Sayre, Oklahoma to Jack Dale and Virginia May (Walker) Patterson. He grew up in Olustee and graduated from Olustee High School. Tommy served four years in the United States Navy, four years in the United States Army, and completed his military career by serving an additional 16 years in the National Guard. While in the Navy, he learned the trade of boiler tech and continued to apply this knowledge as a maintenance worker with the Town of Olustee. 

Tommy was a member of the Highland Heights Methodist Church in Altus. He had a fascination for model trains and tinkered with cars in his spare time. Tommy was known for making others laugh and loved his family deeply. 

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Dale and Virgina; and brothers, Roger Dennis Patterson and Baby Boy Patterson. He is survived by brothers, Mike Patterson and wife, JoAnn of Altus and Jack Douglas Patterson and wife, April of Kerrville, Texas; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
