Timothy C. Bubb, 50, of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on November 24, 2011, due to natural causes. He was surrounded by his loving felines. There will be a celebration of Tim’s life at the Altus Air Force Base chapel on Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 2:00-4:00 PM. A private memorial service will be held in Pennsylvania at the discretion of the family. Local arrangements were made by the Kincannon Funeral Home. Timothy C. Bubb was born on August 1, 1961, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania to Calvin and Marian Pringle Bubb. He was a graduate of Bishop Neuman High School and Mansfield University. After college graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. In the summer of 2008, Tim retired from the US Air Force after 24 years of service. He was proud to be an American and loved his country with all his heart. Tim served in Ohio, Alaska, Texas, Panama, Japan, Turkey, Korea, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. He was a history buff, who spent many years researching both American and world history. He enjoyed politics, movies, cooking and taking care of those in need. In his retirement, Tim worked at the Galaxy Lane Bowling Alley at the Altus Air Force Base. He had many friends in Oklahoma that he considered his family. When he resided in Williamsport, he was a member of the Church of the Annunciation. Tim served as a volunteer for the church community. Survivors include his mother, Marian Bubb of Williamsport, PA; three sisters, Patricia Girio and husband, George, of South Williamsport, PA, Gretchen Goodman of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Susan Stewart and husband, Daniel, of Stephens City, VA. He was a beloved uncle to Jennifer Manning, Aimee Stopper-Born, Andrea Weinhoffer, Brian Girio, and Danene, Ryan, and Stephanie Stewart. In addition, he had five great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the local SPCA in honor of Timothy Bubb, who adored both dogs and cats throughout his life.
