Tracy Ellen “Emma” Houston, 57, former Altus resident of Throckmorton, Texas, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Throckmorton County Hospital. A memorial service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 26, 2022 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Pastor Shane Kendrix officiating. Cremation and service are under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Tracy Ellen Davies was born on January 21, 1965 in Omaha, Nebraska to Daniel Morgan, Jr. and Ursula Ruth (Fischinger) Davies. She grew up in Altus and graduated high school in 1983. Emma, as she was affectionately called, worked for more than 20 years at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital as a case manager. She married Jerry Houston on February 20, 2015 in Throckmorton, Texas, where the two made their home. She worked as a bookkeeper for the RA Brown Ranch in Throckmorton for a number of years. Emma enjoyed going on road trips with her husband, trying new recipes, and folding clothes. She had a boundless sense of humor, an infectious laugh, and a sweet smile that could light up a room. Tracy genuinely loved all creatures big and small, except spiders and snakes. She truly cherished the time spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.
Her parents; a sister, Claudia Davies; a great niece, Maci Anderson; a great nephew, Mark Ware; and a nephew, Blake Houston; preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry, and her blue heeler, Whiskey, of the home; a son, Morgan Rogers and wife, Skylar; two stepsons, Bray Houston and Ty Houston; two grandsons, Riley Rogers and Jaxx Houston; a brother, Dan Davies, III and wife, Raquel; a sister, Jayne Stover and husband, Perry; mother-in-law, Carol Houston; brothers-in-law, Eddie Turner and wife, Jean Ann, and Tony Houston and wife, Leshia; sister-in-law, Kim Houston; nieces, Jackie Pido, Locklin Rooney and husband, Shane, Cassie Anderson, Misty Brustad, and Samantha Calamaco and husband, Orlando; nephews, Jeff Warren and wife, Dee, Chris Stover and wife, Jennifer, Jason Stover and wife, Chloe, Kirk Turner and wife, Regina, and Jeramy Houston; great nieces, Cambree Rooney, Adison Warren, Ansley Warren, Aspen Stephens and husband, Trenton, Carlie Stover, River Stover, Cobie Stover, Kiersten Brustad, Peyton Miller, Rye Turner, Marlee Turner, and Lily Houston; great nephews, Traye Morris, Beau Anderson, Carson Stover, Andrew Wickliffe, Brent Wickliffe, Brantly Turner, Logan Stewart, Warren Houston, and Heston Miller; and many other family members and a host of friends, all who will dearly miss her.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, July 25, 2022 at the funeral home.
