Veronica Lyn Cortez was born on April 5, 1967 in Perryton, Texas to Marvin "Leon" and Kathryn (Mitchell) Caldwell. She was raised in Perryton and graduated high school with the class of 1985. She was a homemaker all her adult life. She enjoyed her pet dogs and spending time with her daughter, niece and nephews.
