Viola Gay Jackson, 91, of Altus passed away Thursday, June 3, 2010 at English Village Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2010 at Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tobin Jackson and Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Burial will follow at the Victory Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Viola Gay Warren was born April 11, 1919 to Walter Richmond and Mary Ethel (Bradley) Warren on a farm north of Olustee, Oklahoma. She attended school at Victory. She married James W. Jackson in 1937 at Vernon, Texas. They raised four sons, Gary, Gaylon, Woody, and Rickey. Viola was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, and cooking. Viola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; two sons, Gaylon and Gary; two sisters, Mary Ethel and Ethel; and six brothers, Ben, Roy, Jim, Woody, Robert, and Walter “Bud” Warren. She is survived by two sons, Rickey Jackson of Altus, Woody Joe Jackson and wife, Debbie, of Midland, Texas; a brother, Joseph; eight grandchildren, Misty Dublin and husband, Damon, Tiffany Blaylock and husband, Charles, Justin Jackson and wife, Ashley, Natalie Harris and husband, Steve, Tobin Jackson and wife, Lanette, Kane Jackson and wife, Melissa, Kristin Eck and husband, Jerod, and Kassi Buchanan and husband, Ryan; nineteen great-grandchildren, Shae’Na, Shownda, Makenzi, Jocylen, Shayla, Wesley, Allyson, Taylor, Mikala, Makenna, Reid, Blaine, Kale, Barrett, Kennedy, Garrett, Jace, Hannah and Haven; and two daughters-in-law, Joelle Jackson and Betty Jackson.
