Virginia Marie Sharp was born June 28, 1941 to Virgil Steven and Ellen Elizabeth (Swayze) Sharp in Ryderwood, Washington. She attended school in the State of Washington. Through the years she had many different jobs from waiting tables to driving a semi truck. It was while waiting tables at Ramada Inn in Altus that she met Thurman Earl Clay. A smooth talking truck driver with a twinkle in his eyes that became her best friend and the love of her life. They were united in marriage on December 31, 1985. They drove truck together for over 25 years and were lovingly referred to as "One Mean Granny and One Great PaPaw" on the CB and by the grandchildren that were fortunate to ride along. Her talents were many, from singing on the radio station at the young age of 16 to making the best peanut brittle on the planet!! But her greatest attribute was her capacity to love. If she took you into her heart you were loved by her forever. She has played a special role as "other mother" in the lives of June, Nettie Carol, Denise and many, many others throughout the years.
Virginia was the proud mother of four children, Roy Lee Scott and wife, Christy; Larry Logsdon and wife, Mable; Duke Logsdon; and Lorrie Logsdon and husband, Ronnie McMahon; and six stepdaughters, Melody, Pam, Diane, Barbara, Sherry and Wendie. From these she was blessed with 49 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild! She leaves behind one sister, Patricia Sconone and husband, Bill; two brothers, Phillip T. Sharp and wife, Eileen; Ronald D. Sharp and wife, Mary. She also leaves behind her beloved fur babies, Little LuLu and Sir Blue Clay.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Ellen; her husband, Thurman; a brother, Elbert L. Sharp, a sister, MaryAnn Pleockelmann and her precious grandson, Clayton Lloyd Tyson.
