X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Virginia “Marie” Ward Craft, 86, Altus, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, July16, 2013 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Dr. Al Davis and George E. Dosher, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home. Marie was born on February 20, 1927 to Gordon and Lillian Pearl (Langford) Peters in Wellington, Texas. She attended school and graduated from Wellington High School in 1945. She was self –employed and worked in the real estate industry most of her life. Marie and Kenneth Ward were united in marriage in Forth Worth, Texas in 1947. She resided in the Wellington, Texas area from 1927 until moving to Altus, Oklahoma in 1954. Kenneth passed away in 1966. Later in 1976, Marie married Elmer Craft in Seiling, Oklahoma. Elmer also preceded her in death in 1990. She enjoyed collecting angels, spending time cooking and entertaining for family and friends and going to auctions and sales. Marie was a very giving person, she loved her family above all else and will be missed greatly.
Mrs. Craft was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Kenneth Ward and Elmer Craft, and her lifetime partner, Lawrence Mitchell.
She is survived by one son, Ken Ward and wife, Gwen, of Weatherford, Texas; one daughter, Kim Burley and husband, Jeff, of Altus, OK; one granddaughter, Roslyn Beberman and husband, Mike, of Highland Park, New Jersey; four grandsons, Joe Ward of Seattle, Washington, Ron Burley and wife, Rebecca, of Gardner, Kansas, Jake Ward of Weatherford, TX, and James Ward of Lubbock, TX; and four great-grandchildren, Jonah, Sidney, Isaac and Elsa.

The Craft family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, July 15, at the Kincannon Gathering Room.
