Vivian Pauline Houchin, 98, Altus, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Graveside service will be 10:00 AM Monday, March 19, 2018 in the Restlawn Cemetery with Rev. Doug Altom officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Vivian Pauline Edmiaston was born on June 11, 1919 in Dryden, Oklahoma to Homer and Fannie (Hames) Edmiaston. She married H.C. "Mutt" Houchin in November of 1941. Pauline worked as a cook for most of her life and worked in many local restaurants. She was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
Her parents, husband, a daughter, Dolores Fancher, two sisters, Myrtle Orr and Lillie Baxter, and four brothers, Buster, Chuck, Troy, and Brent Edmiaston, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Clifton Houchin and wife, Beth; a son-in-law, Ronnie Fancher; 4 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; a sister, Georgia Camp; and a brother, Frankie Edmiaston.
